SharePoint Administrator

A skilled technical job-seeker with extensive experience in SharePoint is needed for a contract SharePoint Administrator position in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities of the SharePoint Administrator include:

  • Handling SharePoint site architecture, configuration, and publishing across key sites and resolving technical and user support issues.
  • Communicating with stakeholders to gather requirements for new site requests, enhancements, or modifications to managed sites.
  • Reviewing existing SharePoint infrastructure setup and developing best practices and input on operational guidelines.
  • Recommending innovations that enhance/provide competitive advantage to the organization.
  • Helping end users and updating SharePoint tools and objects.
  • Working with the Infrastructure Operations Lead to identify and execute maintenance/upgrade activities for assigned SharePoint sites.
  • Working with vendors to identify/define the reports/controls to put in place for Spark to monitor usage, access, etc.
  • Testing sites developed by outsourced vendor to ensure they meet end user requirements (before release).
  • Responding to/resolving SharePoint tickets submitted to the Service Desk.
  • Assisting with training end-users and answering any questions they have.
  • Ensuring SharePoint sites align with File Storage Strategy and architecture.
  • Migrating sites that existed prior to the File Storage and Roadmap project to align with the current File Storage Strategy.
  • Supporting content moves from IT OneDrive to SharePoint.
  • Updating project documentation and trackers as needed.
  • Performing all duties while maintaining application security and change management best practices and documenting important actions.


Requirements of the SharePoint Administrator:

  • College degree in IT / Computer Science or a related field preferred
  • At least 4 years of related experience
  • Great attention to detail
