Service Desk Agents


Two candidates are needed for Entry-Level Service Desk Agents in Columbia, SC! As a Service Desk Agent, you are responsible for helping customers and vendors with company technology-related issues. This contract position is expected to last a year and pay $16 an hour!


Responsibilities of the Service Desk Agents include:

  • Providing technology-based customer support over the phone.
  • Conducting first level analysis to resolve end user incidents and requests and working with technology groups to resolve within established timeframes.
  • Having proficient knowledge of tools, processes, procedures, and resources necessary to assist in problem determination as well as recovery
  • Collaborating with other team members to resolve critical service issues.
  • Identifying and recommending opportunities for improved efficiency.
  • Integrating all sources of information when helping clients.

Requirements:

Requirements of the Service Desk Agents:

  • High school diploma/GED (Associates Degree/Technical Certification preferred)
  • No experience in the field necessary! (IT experience/experience taking phone calls preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • General understanding of PC hardware and components with proficiency in Microsoft Office and a typing speed of at least 30 WPM
  • Great prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs (including nights)
