Senior Plan Consultant

A jobseeker with a strong financial planning background is needed for a Direct-Hire Senior Plan Consultant position in Jacksonville, FL! As the Senior Plan Consultant, you will primarily be responsible for delivering ongoing plan design advice and owns relationship management at the highest level, with the goal of providing superior service and promoting intellectual value. This position offers an annual salary of $55-85K.

Responsibilities of the Senior Plan Consultant include:

  • Managing and mentoring a team responsible for supporting a book of Cross-Tested, Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, Cash Balance Plans and Hybrid (aggregate testing) Plans 
  • Owning task and resource management over day-to-day and critical deadlines (PensionPro)
  • Supervising the use of software used to support these plans (SRT, ASC)
  • Overseeing the onboarding process and keeps it on track with proactive communication
  • Developing documents and amendments to support clients’ Plans; providing training to team
  • Proactively providing support and advice to business owners, trustees, and CPAs which continually demonstrates the intellectual value
  • Conveying and support investment philosophy
  • Working with the President to develop and integrate ‘best practices’ across the firm
  • Assisting with the creation of proposals, and planning re-design

Requirements:

Requirements of the Senior Plan Consultant:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Multiple ASPPA Credentials, with emphasis on QKA, QPA & CPC
  • Series 65 or Series 7 + 66 (must obtain within 4 months of hire)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a team of professionals
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience being responsible for Client Relationships at the highest level
  • In-depth understanding of math-related to Cross-Testing, Cash Balance Plans, and aggregate plan testing
  • Minimum of 5 years working with the following software:
  • Daily Valuation Recordkeeping
  • 401(a)(4) and 410(b) testing software
  • Documentation
