Senior Front End Quant Developer
A highly experienced technical job-seeker is needed for a direct-hire Senior Front End Quant Developer position in Philadelphia, PA. As the Senior Front End Quant Developer, you will be responsible for deliver high-quality applications for the Equity Front Office group.

Requirements of the Sr. Front End Quant Developer:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (advanced degrees a plus)
Minimum 10 years' application development experience
Minimum 5 years' experience supporting front office operations, preferably in an Asset Management/Hedge Fund firm
Knowledge of Investment Management concepts
Extensive experience with / knowledge of Python 2.6 and/or 2.7 including using it to develop applications and server platforms
Experience working with object-oriented platforms
SQL Programming using Postgres, SQL Server and Oracle – Stored procedures, Materialized Views, etc.
Experience building RESTful API interfaces
Extensive experience in working with large amounts of data including time series data in the process of using for Business Intelligence and Analytics.
Understanding of investment management industry and the effective use of technology to support Portfolio Managers, Traders, Operations, etc.
In-depth knowledge of Equity securities and related analytics.
Understanding of methodologies such as OO design, SDLC, Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.
Proficient in Messaging Protocols (SOAP, MQ Series, FIX, etc.); Operating Systems & Other (Windows, LINUX, UNIX, SharePoint, AgilePoint, etc.).
Familiarity with scheduling software such as Autosys.
Experience with and understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), WCF, etc.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in data profiling and analyzing.
Ability to take requirements and design solutions that work in an already existing platform.
Additional certifications in investment management/finance (i.e. CFA designation) a plus!
Experience with Git and Jira a plus
