Project Manager

A Project Manager / PMO is currently needed for a position in Mount Laurel, NJ. The Project Manager is responsible for handling a variety of IT related and non-IT related projects and for developing and maintaining business relationship with business partners, third party vendors and non- servicing business areas.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager include:

  • Developing strong, collaborative relationships with management staff, business partners, third party vendors and non- servicing business areas.
  • Coordinating the assignment of project resources for all Project Requests.
  • Ensuring all tracking is completed and updated using the tools established by the IT PMO.
  • Reviewing and completing all applicable status reports and attending meetings as required.
  • Reviewing and approving all documentation that will be presented to the business or other cross functional teams
  • Participating in planning sessions and staff meetings with the Business Managers to ensure a clear understanding of direction, goals and visions of each area within the division in order to proactively support them.
  • Partnering with business sponsors and appropriate managers to prioritize work and manage the technology needs ensure project prioritization remains in line with strategic and tactical objectives.
  • Escalating production/project issues promptly to the appropriate Business Managers.
  • Identifying process improvement and process change opportunities and interpret business impacts.
  • Participating in discussions that identify project risk from both a process and a technology perspective.
  • Facilitating business testing required to support successful delivery of projects.


Requirements of the Project Manager:

  • 10+ years of experience in project management in Mortgage, Financial Services, or related domain in a large financial institution
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Software, Project management, or related field preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to build processes that create operational value and minimize risk
  • Must be a strategic / big picture thinker and have a strong understanding of how the interrelationship of processes, technologies, and people create results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage an organization through change
