Description:

Network Administrator

A Network Administrator is currently needed for a contract-to-hire position in Blue Bell, PA.

Responsibilities of the Network Administrator include:

  • Overseeing, implementing, and troubleshooting network systems and applications such LANs, WANs, Internet, Intranet, and other data communications systems.
  • Managing servers, systems, backups, and Active Directory, as well as provide documentation, project tracking, and management reporting.
  • Providing tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and related projects.
  • Maintaining, reviewing, and providing support for a wide array of infrastructure components and technologies, including switches, firewalls, MPLS, VPNs, routers, wireless technologies, VoIP phone systems, and traditional PBX phone system etc.
  • Assisting with the update/upgrade systems where needed through thoughtful planning and implementation in a controlled manner.
  • Managing, monitoring, and upgrading Hyper-V environment (including iSCSI SANs) and server backups (utilizing Backup Exec/Cohisity).
  • Maintaining and monitoring Microsoft Exchange mail server environment and security layers to ensure safe operation of our computing resources.
  • Building, implementing, and maintaining servers running Windows 2003, 2008 and 2012.
  • Maintaining integrity of systems documentation.
  • Partnering with contractors, vendors, business partners, and end users.
  • Maintaining Active Directory, accounts, group policies, and NTFS permissions.
  • Performing other duties as assigned. #LI-MP1

Requirements:

Requirements of the Network Administrator:

  • Associates degree or technical school certification in related field (Bachelor’s degree a plus)
  • Minimum 3 years’ related experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and related networks, Active Directory Services, Local and Remote Administrative Tools (or equivalent combination of education/experience)
  • Experience with Cisco network equipment, Backup technologies and software, VMware, Citrix, Microsoft SQL, SharePoint, Exchange Server, Network Monitoring Tools, VPNs, and SANs preferred
  • Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, or Fortinet certifications a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Project, Visio, and other applications as applicable, plus the ability to learn company-used applications
