Manager of Infrastructure Architect


A professional and friendly job-seeker is needed for a Direct-hire Manager of Infrastructure Architect position in Malvern, PA!


Responsibilities of the Software Engineer include:

  • Analyzing business problems and provide solutions to drive IT innovation
  • Providing strategic guidance on IT projects, including technical direction, evaluation of risks, and implementation strategies
  • Leading and mentoring a team of engineers and system administrators, assisting them with solving problems and growing knowledge
  • Effectively communicating expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Coordinating with application development, security, and support teams to design infrastructure solutions to meet the needs of a diverse set of IT projects
  • Evaluating vendors, technologies, and products to determine proper fit to business objectives. Providing updates and summaries to IT management on proposed solutions and strategies
  • Understanding projects from start to finish, including both technical details and business impacts
  • Providing updates to management and non-technical teammates in order to build consensus, inform on progress, and explain the impact of technology systems
  • Designing new systems, taking into account business and technical integrations necessary to implement a solution and coordinate with IT Project Management and Network/Server resources to successfully implement new solutions
  • Managing vendors to evaluate solutions, maintaining support partnerships, and negotiating pricing
  • Managing the handoff of projects from implementation to support and training by coordinating with resources on those teams, developing documentation, and providing technical expertise as necessary.
  • Staying informed of current technology trends and proposing proactive improvements to premise and cloud-based infrastructure to solve problems, increase reliability, and drive efficiencies
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on infrastructure technologies to leadership and other groups within IT

Requirements:

Requirements of the Administrative Assistant:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 10+ years of experience dealing with infrastructure systems
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and business teammates
  • Strong problem solving and solution visualization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and provide useful feedback to a technical team to build an all-star group of technical leaders in the organization
  • Expert conceptual knowledge leveraging architecture practices and implementation concepts specific experience in creating, maintaining and enhancing multi-year architecture plans
  • Exceptional conceptual thinking and analysis skills, coupled with highly effective presentation, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated record of gathering requirements and building/deploying successful solutions
  • Ability to gather and assimilate knowledge and requirements
  • Knowledge and familiarity with best practices, standards, and strategies to implement them within an organization
  • Ability to learn, adapt, and prioritize
  • Ability to distribute tasks and equip team members to take on project components in order to improve efficiency
  • Ability to deal with high profile outages and provide solutions
  • Assessing the business problem and developing the solution
  • Collaboration across departments both inside and outside of IT
  • Lead the organization, insuring the infrastructure is under governance
  • Certifications Preferred: Cisco Certified Design Associate/ Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCDA/CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional/ Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCNP/CCDP), Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), VMWare Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP), VMWare Certified Design Expert (VCDX)
