Insurance Representative

Responsibilities of the Insurance Representative includes:

  • Identifying and reporting trends in carrier payments and denials
  • Following up with payors and other third parties for ensuring timely claims submissions.
  • Resolving accounts regarding secondary billing, appeals process, and patient liability.

Requirements of the Insurance Representative:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum 1 year of patient A/R or insurance claims processing experience
  • Working knowledge of the insurance follow-up process
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing (including ICD-9, CPT, and HCPC codes, as well as UB-04 and 1500 claims forms)
  • Able to identify payor reimbursement discrepancies
  • Great verbal and customer service skills
  • Excellent computer, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
