A Billing Specialist is needed for a position in Philadelphia, PA!

As the Billing Specialist, you will responsible for overseeing billing requirements, working with partners to complete billing and accounts receivable, and contacting clients to manage billing setups. This temporary position pays $20 an hour.

Responsibilities of the Billing Specialist include:

  •      Supporting the partners by completing all aspects of billing for assigned clients and matters (with supervision).
  •      Reviewing matter set up to ensure compliance with rate agreements and outside counsel guidelines.
  •      Identifying any required reporting for budgets, alternate fee arrangements, and accrual requests, and seeking assistance from supervisor to ensure completion.
  •      Reviewing time entries based on client and matter requirements (block billing, task codes, summer associate time etc.).
  •      Reviewing cost entries for compliance and making a partner aware of any issues.
  •      Submitting new timekeeper approvals for billed clients and contacts clients regarding new matters or other e-Billing system requirements.
  •      Completing billing for all assigned clients, submitting invoices and notifying the supervisor of problems, when necessary.
  •      Monitoring e-Billed submissions and assisting (with help from supervisor) with resolution of any rejections.
  •      Alerting supervisor about any past-due receivables and working closely with supervisor to assist with resolutions.
  •      Reviewing monthly reports to identify overdue billing or collections and to ensure all current proforma's are generated.
  •      Distributing month-end proforma's to appropriate partners.
  •      Contacting new clients (with support from supervisor) to review billing and payment procedures and handling special requests.
  •      Contacting assigned new partners (with support from supervisor) to assist with reviewing client agreements and rate set up, to review billing procedures and expectations, and to ensure all required billing set ups are in place.
  •        Maintaining the highest level of confidentiality of all financial and systems-related information.

  •      Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university preferred

  •      Minimum of 2 years of Elite Billing experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  •      Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Exploreer, Elite Billing, e-Billing Hub, and other various e-Billing Vendor systems

  •      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  •      Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills

  •      An organized, self-starter with proficiency in problem solving and prioritizing tasks

  •      Works well independently, on a team, and as a team leader

  •      Able to adapt to change and balance competing demands

  •      Able to read and interpret general business documents, instructions and manuals, write routine business correspondence, and speak effectively with employees, clients, and vendors.

  •     Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide all units of measure)

  •      Able to work regular office hours and occasional overtime
