Big Data Engineer


A Big Data Engineer is currently needed for a Direct-Hire position in Reston, VA.


Requirements of the Big Data Engineer:

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience working with HortonWorks / Cloudera implementations.
  • Hands on experience using tools around big data environments such as (Kafka, Scoop, Atlas, Ranger, Attunity, Collibra, Spark, Alteryx, nifi)
  • Experience working within Wealth Management/Financial Services/ Capital Markets
  • Proven delivery experience working in a project environment with different methodologies (including Agile/Waterfall)
  • Proven project and modelling skills to represent information in forms that enhance decision making and communications
  • Can clients regarding process improvement initiatives. Candidates should be comfortable presenting complex solutions in clear and concise language
  • Can critically evaluate information gathered across multiple sources, reconcile variances and recommend proposals to senior management/key stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Native AWS tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
