Benefits Analyst

A Benefits Analyst is currently needed for a position in Mount Laurel, NJ!
As the Benefits Analyst, you will perform recurring plan administration services and work assignments for clients’ defined benefit plans under the supervision of senior analysts and assist with project work and ad hoc client support services. This position offers $18 an hour.
Responsibilities of the Benefits Analyst include:

  • Performing routine and recurring plan administration tasks for clients’ defined benefit plans (e.g., benefit calculations, annual data updates, assist with preparation of benefit statements). 
  • Collaborating with other team members to complete tasks and ensure unified delivery of services.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of the plan design such as benefit formulas, options, eligibility, etc.
  • Following and updating documentation materials as directed.
  • Maintaining complete and accurate work papers and audit trails. 
  • Learning/using company relevant tools and concepts to ensure efficient and quality output/service delivery.
  • Serving as a contact with clients’ human resources personnel. 
  • Actively participating in team meetings and training activities.

Requirements:

Requirements of the Benefits Analyst:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance or any other major with significant quantitative course work with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 
  • Solid mathematical and analytical skills 
  • Work experience that demonstrates strong technical, and/or client service and leadership skills 
  • Strong prioritizing and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience
