Accounts Payable Processor

A finance-minded job-seeker is needed for an Accounts Payable Processor position in West Chester, PA! This temporary-to-hire position pays $20.00 an hour.


Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Processor include:

  • Processing accounts payable transactions within company’s imaging system and financial system
  • Prioritizing tasks based upon status of monthly and quarterly accounting cycles and vendor payment terms
  • Effectively responding to change in workload requirements and assignments; prioritizing and adjusting assignments to meet daily demands and resolve inquiries
  • Maintaining proactive dialogue with vendors to ensure information is obtained and processed timely and efficiently. Maintaining proactive dialogue with the field and administrators of multiple locations. Addressing their needs with regard to vendor bills and payment processing, including researching problems with vendor accounts
  • Clearly and precisely explaining issues, procedures, and technical functionality to users including field and management.

Requirements of the Accounts Payable Processor:
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum 2 years accounts payable, accounts receivable and/or accounting experience
  • Scanning experience preferred
  • Experience working with automated accounts payable systems and software
  • Demonstrates knowledge of payable cycle and ability to work with management to recommend appropriate prioritization of tasks
  • Strong attention to detail; maintains high level of accuracy and thoroughness
  • Emphasizes a strong customer focus to support interaction with multi-site operating environment
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and establish and maintain fluid communications across departments including operations and information technology
  • PC proficiency in Windows environments
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, reporting tools, and Web-enabled applications (knowledge of NetSuite a plus)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Comfortable and adept at working with both confidential and sensitive information
  • Experience using NetSuite and an OCR scanning software is preferred but not required
  • Experience processing invoices within an organization for multiple locations and/or departments
  • Ability to communicate and problem solve with outside vendors, and members of the organization inside or outside of the department as well as senior level management
